As an AOEM (Automotive Original Equipment Manufacturer) Account Manager for the Abrasive Systems Division (ASD) within the Safety & Industrial Business Group (SIBG), you will focus on the automotive manufacturing sector. You will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with the most innovative automotive experts worldwide to drive abrasive technology applications in automotive production. Here, you will make an impact by: Industry Sales Targets: Promote and sell the ASD product portfolio to designated automotive customers (including OEMs and key Tier 1 suppliers) to achieve sales targets in line with the AOEM business operating plan. Process Spec-in: Deeply understand automotive Body-in-White (BIW), Paint Shop, and component manufacturing processes. Demonstrate 3M abrasive solutions through on-site testing to secure technical "Spec-in" within customer standard operating procedures (SOP). Project Lifecycle Management: Identify and track new vehicle programs (NPI). Engage during the design and pilot phases to provide professional technical consulting and solution recommendations. Key Account Management: Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders across Procurement, Engineering, Quality, and R&D departments within automotive accounts. Channel Collaboration: Partner closely with designated AOEM distributors to manage inventory, logistics, and post-sales technical support within the territory. Market Intelligence: Collect and report significant changes in automotive industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging applications. Digital Management: Proficiently use CRM systems to manage the project pipeline, sales opportunities, and daily activity logs. Your Skills and Expertise: Bachelor’s degree or above; majors in Polymer Materials, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or Automotive Engineering are preferred. 3-5 years of industrial sales experience in a global company, specifically serving the Automotive (OEM/Tier 1) sector. Fluent English in both written and oral communication, capable of collaborating with global technical teams. Proven track record of success in winning and retaining business within the automotive supply chain, with a strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes (e.g., sanding, grinding, and polishing). Strong project management skills with the ability to navigate the long-cycle sales processes typical of the automotive industry. Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
