Adjunct Faculty
Overview
Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner Adjunct Faculty — South College Online. This online, remote faculty position reports directly to the Program Coordinator of the MSN FNP Program. South College Online seeks candidates who support the institution's mission and provide an equitable and inclusive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality instruction in each assigned course within the approved academic program curriculum.
- Respond in a timely manner to information requests from the institution, administrative officials, prospective employers, professional organizations, public agencies, civic organizations, private foundations, general public, and students. Promote clear linguistic expression in both written and oral communications.
- Ensure that all academic program requirements and documentation (e.g., clinical evaluations, competency documentation) are completed as required for each student and submitted by established deadlines.
- Meet all faculty expectations on a weekly basis.
- Manage classroom activities appropriately and be reasonably accessible to students for questions and assistance.
- Monitor educational and professional literature for best practices related to taught courses.
Qualifications
- Education: A doctoral degree in nursing (DNP or PhD), certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse, preferably in the Family Nurse Practitioner specialty.
- Experience: Professional experience is required; online teaching experience is greatly preferred. Will consider non-FNP faculty with MSN-level teaching experience for select core MSN courses.
- Licensure: Must have APRN licensure in PA, LA, TN, and GA.
