Back End Developer (Elixir)

We’re a startup on a mission to scale quickly to Series A 🚀 We’re looking for an experienced Elixir Back end developer with strong ownership and a track record of delivering high-performance, production-grade systems end-to-end. You’ll work closely with a small, fast-moving team to design and implement scalable backend services. Tasks 💪🏻 What You’ll Own: Design, implement, and maintain Elixir-based APIs, workers, and background jobs Build reliable and high-performance systems using OTP, Phoenix, and Ecto Integrate with internal and external services, queues, and event-driven pipelines Collaborate across product, frontend, and DevOps teams Own delivery — from architecture and coding to deployment and monitoring Requirements 💼 Must-Have Qualifications 5+ years of backend development experience, with at least 2 years in Elixir Strong knowledge of OTP, Ecto, and Phoenix frameworks Proven experience building high-performance systems Solid experience with PostgreSQL and SQL performance tuning Familiarity with AWS services and serverless environments (e.g., Lambda) Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently 👉 Nice to Have Experience in the FinTech industry Experience with Node.js (Express, AWS Lambda) Benefits 🚀 Benefits: Fully remote work Competitive monthly salary package Fast-paced startup environment High ownership and autonomy 💫 About us: At qiibee we are on a mission to unlock the purchasing power and maximising the liquidity of the global rewards economy.
