Job Responsibilities

As a SAP Basis Administrator at careerzynith, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our SAP systems and applications. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining SAP systems, including SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/BI, and SAP GRC
• Performing routine system maintenance tasks, such as client duplication, system duplication, client export/import, and system refresh
• Monitoring system performance, investigating issues, and optimizing system resources to ensure high availability and performance
• Managing the SAP Transport Management System (TMS) for shipping changes between SAP systems
• Planning and executing backup and recovery strategies for SAP systems
• Designing and managing interfaces and integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems
• Analyzing system performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing performance tuning measures to improve system performance
• Maintaining accurate documentation of SAP system designs, methodologies, and standards
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies (SOX, PCI, Corporate, etc.)

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• At least 7 years of experience as a SAP Basis Administrator or in a similar role with a medium to large-sized organization
• Proven expertise in SAP installation, setup, and maintenance
• SAP certifications are a plus
• Excellent DB2 and AIX skills and experience
• In-depth knowledge of SAP technologies, architecture, and components
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest SAP technologies and trends
• Flexibility to work outside regular business hours for system maintenance and support activities
• Strong commitment to maintaining system security and data integrity
• Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

• Experience with SAP Transport Management System (TMS)
• Knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform and SAP Cloud Foundry
• Experience with DevOps and automation tools
• Certification in SAP Basis Administration
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
