Continuing Astound's legacy of representing incredible artists and fostering strong relationships with top publishers around the globe, we are excited to launch an open call for freelance Picture book illustrators. • A strong portfolio aimed at the publishing market
• Traditional-leaning stylistic elements with confident draftsmanship
• Strong characterisation and proportionate character design
• Rich storytelling and expressive world-building
• A unique personal approach that stands apart
• A sense of humour (a huge bonus!)

We’re especially looking for artists who create magical, character-rich worlds full of charm, detail, and personality. immersive, memorable work that feels unmistakably their own. We’re drawn to styles that are timeless yet contemporary: thoughtful, character-led, emotionally rich, and strong in storytelling.
