MAINFRAME - LANGUAGE/SCRIPT

Key Responsibilities

Application Development: Analyze requirements and develop/modify mainframe programs (COBOL). System Maintenance: Debug, unit test, and maintain existing systems for optimal performance. Job Control Language (JCL): Write and maintain JCL for batch job execution. Database Management: Work with DB2 and VSAM for data storage and retrieval. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and support system upgrades. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations and procedures. Required Technical Skills Languages: COBOL. Environment: IBM z/OS, TSO/ISPF. Database/Files: DB2, VSAM. Tools: JCL, IBM Utilities, SORT, Control-M.
