Marketing Analyst
Xcel Energy is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join their dynamic team as a Marketing Analyst. In this position, you will leverage your analytical expertise to evaluate market conditions, assess the performance of marketing programs, and develop financial models that inform strategic business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Utilize analytic techniques to support marketing, measurement, and reporting efforts
- Evaluate existing and potential products and service markets to identify growth opportunities
- Identify and monitor competitors and research market conditions or industry changes that may affect sales
- Develop and maintain complex financial modeling tools and programs
- Assess the performance of new and existing marketing programs
- Develop tests and define testing parameters to measure marketing effectiveness
- Evaluate methodologies and make recommendations for process improvements
- Design, develop, and implement new processes to enhance operational efficiency
- Develop and maintain reports detailing the influence of marketing activities on various operating groups
- Present analysis and support data-driven decisions to management
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Proficiency with MS Office suite, including advanced spreadsheet and data modeling capabilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex analysis clearly to management
- Ability to evaluate and recommend improvements to existing methodologies and processes
- Strong research skills with the ability to monitor market trends and competitive landscapes
- A high degree of creativity and the ability to work with latitude and independence
- Ability to develop and maintain complex financial models and reporting tools
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Advanced degree preferred but not required
