Prophet 21 SQL Developer
We are seeking an experienced Prophet 21 SQL Developer to support a large-scale ERP implementation and data migration initiative involving the transition from Microsoft Great Plains (GP) to Epicor Prophet 21 Cloud. This is a hands-on technical role focused heavily on data build activities, SQL development, troubleshooting, and backend ERP data support. This is a remote, part-time contract opportunity expected to last 6+ months, with the potential for extension based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support data build and migration efforts from Great Plains (GP) into Prophet 21 Cloud
- Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and triggers
- Assist with data validation, cleansing, transformation, and reconciliation activities
- Work closely with ERP implementation teams, business users, and technical resources to support data conversion requirements
- Identify and resolve data integrity and performance issues within the P21 environment
- Support reporting and backend data structures related to the implementation
- Participate in testing activities and provide ongoing troubleshooting support throughout the implementation lifecycle
- Document development work, data mappings, and technical processes as needed
Required Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21)
- Advanced Microsoft SQL Server development skills
- Extensive experience building and supporting ERP-related data structures
- Strong experience with:
- SQL queries
- Stored procedures
- Triggers
- Data troubleshooting and performance tuning
- Experience supporting ERP implementations or migrations
- Prior experience working with data conversions from Great Plains (GP) or similar ERP systems
- Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
- Experience with Prophet 21 Cloud environments
- Background supporting manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain organizations
- Familiarity with ERP reporting and integrations
