The role involves tracking data, preparing and sorting source documents, verifying data accuracy, and entering information into a computer system using software.

Responsibilities

  • Tracking data and source documents
  • Prepares and sorts source documents, and identifies and interprets data to be entered
  • Compiles, sorts and verifies data for accuracy
  • Contacts responsible parties to resolve moderately complex questions, inconsistencies, or missing data
  • Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into computer
