[Remote] Integration Engineer (CRM/HRIS)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Light is an innovative company aiming to replace outdated ERP systems with a modern Smart Financial Platform. The Integration Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining integrations between Light's platform and various CRM and HRM systems, ensuring seamless data flow for customers.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain integrations with major CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive) and HRM systems (BambooHR, Personio, Deel, Workday)
- Own the integration patterns and shared libraries for CRM/HRM connectors
- Work directly with customers during onboarding to configure and troubleshoot their integrations
- Document APIs and integration approaches so the team can scale knowledge
- Triage and resolve integration-related production issues
- Partner with Product to prioritise which connectors to build next based on customer demand
Skills
- Strong backend engineering (Kotlin preferred, Java/JVM acceptable)
- Experience building and maintaining third-party API integrations
- Comfortable with OAuth flows, webhooks, rate limiting, and the messiness of real-world APIs
- PostgreSQL knowledge
- Familiarity with at least one major CRM or HRM platform's API
- Pragmatic approach - these integrations need to work reliably, not win architecture awards
- Practical experience using AI or emerging technology tools to improve productivity, insight, or decision-making, with the ability to apply first-principles thinking to new problems
- Experience with financial data or ERP integrations
- Previous work in a B2B SaaS environment
- Exposure to AWS (EKS, Lambda, RDS)
