[Remote] Junior IT Configuration Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Marathon TS is seeking an IT Configuration Analyst to support the CASTLE-NET program. This role is responsible for maintaining and managing Configuration Management Database (CMDB) records, supporting ITIL-based configuration management processes, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of IT asset and configuration information across the enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update Configuration Management Database (CMDB) records
- Identify, document, and manage Configuration Items (CIs)
- Track relationships between hardware, software, applications, and infrastructure components
- Support configuration audits and data quality initiatives
- Ensure compliance with established configuration management policies and procedures
- Assist with Change Management activities and configuration impact analysis
- Generate reports and metrics related to CMDB accuracy and configuration compliance
- Work with ITSM teams to improve configuration management processes
- Develop and maintain configuration management documentation
- Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of Configuration Management, IT Asset Management, CMDB Administration, or related ITSM experience
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms
- Working knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in enterprise IT environments
- Active Secret Clearance
- Security+ Certification
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Federal Government or DoD experience
- ServiceNow CMDB administration experience
- Experience supporting large-scale IT operations environments
