[Remote] Project Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Robert Half is seeking an experienced Project Manager for food manufacturing projects. The role involves leading engineering projects from planning to completion while managing scope, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communications.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day execution of food and dairy-related engineering projects from planning through completion
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communications
- Coordinate activities across engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and site teams
- Ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality and safety standards
- Facilitate communication between clients, technical teams, and operational stakeholders
- Identify and resolve project risks, roadblocks, and resource challenges
Skills
- Experience managing projects within food manufacturing, food processing, dairy, cheese, yogurt, ingredient production, or similar environments
- Project management and/or process engineering experience in industrial or plant-based operations
- Proven ability to manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and client relationships
- Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Willingness to travel for onsite project activities as needed
- Experience with P&IDs, piping systems, 3D layouts, skids, stainless steel processing equipment, FAT/SAT, commissioning, or plant startup activities
- Dairy or cheese processing project experience
- Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering degree (or equivalent industry experience)
