[Remote] Recruiter
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Empire Workforce Solutions is a rapidly growing company focused on skilled trades staffing and construction projects. They are seeking a Skilled Trades Recruiter to source, recruit, and onboard skilled trades professionals for various construction roles while maintaining strong relationships with clients and candidates.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, Hire & Deploy Skilled Trades Talent
- Source, recruit, screen, interview, and onboard skilled trades professionals for commercial, industrial, civil, and specialty construction projects
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of field talent to support immediate orders, emergency fills, and project ramp-ups
- Recruit for high-demand positions including: Electricians, Carpenters (Rough & Finish), Skilled Laborers, Plumbers & Pipefitters, Welders & Fabricators, HVAC Technicians, Heavy Equipment Operators, Concrete & General Construction Trades
- Fill open job orders with urgency while maintaining quality and compliance
- Conduct candidate screening, reference checks, onboarding, orientation, and employment verification
- Ensure candidates meet required certifications, PPE requirements, and jobsite expectations
- Manage attendance, employee relations, no-shows, call-offs, and redeployment opportunities
- Work closely with account managers and leadership to anticipate hiring demands
- Support large workforce deployments, shutdowns, same-day requests, and project expansions
- Help maintain workforce continuity for critical construction schedules
- Create strong relationships with field employees and clients
- Improve employee retention, redeployment, and workforce engagement
- Become a trusted workforce partner to both candidates and contractors
Skills
- 2+ years of recruiting experience preferred in: Skilled Trades Staffing, Construction Staffing, Workforce Solutions
- Strong sourcing and recruiting skills
- Ability to manage high-volume requisitions in a deadline-driven environment
- Experience using Bullhorn strongly preferred
- Experience using Wurknow is a plus
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus, but not required
