[Remote] Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will oversee the company's accounting functions, collaborating with the CFO to establish accounting policies, ensure compliance, and manage financial reporting and activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial functions, including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), treasury, and payroll/benefits administration
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly close processes, reconciliations, and internal audits
- Design processes and procedures to facilitate achieving target close within 5-10 days
- Oversee tax filings, compliance requirements, and insurance coverage to mitigate financial and operational risks
- Provide actionable insights via financial modeling, variance analysis, and reporting
- Design and implement scalable financial systems, processes, and controls to support rapid expansion
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the CFO
Skills
- Solid knowledge of financial and accounting GAAP principles including experience working with fundamental accounting principles such as revenue recognition and accruals
- Deep understanding of SaaS metrics (e.g., ARR, LTV, CAC, churn) and subscription-based financial models
- Expertise in financial systems and tools (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar platforms)
- Self-starter with the ability to independently identify, research, and resolve issues, manage competing priorities, and execute responsibilities with minimal oversight
- Ability to balance strategic initiatives with hands-on operational responsibilities
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present complex financial data clearly
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or a related; CPA preferred
- 3-5 years of experience with 2+ years experience in public Accounting
- Experience in monthly accounting close and financial reporting processes
- CPA preferred
