[Remote] Senior Application Analyst - Pharmacy
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Main Line Health is entering the second phase of its retail and specialty pharmacy expansion and is seeking a dedicated pharmacist with strong Epic build experience. The Senior Application Analyst - Pharmacy will focus on designing and optimizing Epic workflows to support patient enrollment into specialty programs and implementing functionality to track outreach attempts and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Designing and optimizing Epic workflows to support patient enrollment into specialty programs
- Developing defined outreach schedules that trigger automated follow-ups
- Implementing functionality to track outreach attempts and engagement
Skills
- Minimum of 5-7 years recent healthcare information systems or clinical management systems experience
- Epic experience strongly preferred
- Large scale healthcare systems planning and implementation experience on application software products
- Familiarity with Pharmacy formulary distribution and billing systems
- Working knowledge of computerized reference databases such as MicroMedex, Clinical Pharmacology, Facts & Comparisons
- Working knowledge of applicable pharmacy order entry and dispensing automation systems. Experience with other pharmacy systems a plus
- Up-to-date knowledge of drug laws and agency regulations, including but not limited to DEA, FDA, OSHA, TJC, PA DOH, and Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy
- Up-to-Date knowledge of drugs carried on Formulary and new drugs introduced to the market
- Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy - from an accredited university program required
- Current Epic certification(s) and/or appropriate certification as defined by role (if applicable to application(s) or must be willing to travel for training and achieve certification within 90 days of completed testing
- Pennsylvania pharmacy license or eligibility for one within probationary period, and in good standing with the Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy, required
- Epic experience strongly preferred
- Advanced training or master's degree in information Services strongly preferred
