[Remote] Senior Front-End Engineer (React/TypeScript)

They are seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer with expertise in React and TypeScript to design and maintain scalable web applications, ensuring performance and accessibility while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain React applications using TypeScript, with a focus on performance, accessibility, and maintainability
- Build efficient GraphQL operations
- Develop reusable, well-tested UI components and maintain a consistent design system
- Deploy releases and hotfixes to production environments
- Debug issues in production or development environments
- Write unit/integration tests as part of each feature/bug fix
- Collaborate cross-functionally with back-end engineers and product stakeholders to deliver robust and maintainable systems
- Apply front-end best practices for performance, accessibility, security, and code quality
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to engineering standards, and support continuous improvement across the team
Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience in front-end software development
- Strong proficiency with TypeScript and React
- Experience with GraphQL clients (Apollo Client or equivalent) and consuming API schemas
- Solid understanding of component architecture, state management patterns, and modern React paradigms
- Familiarity with AWS-hosted front-end infrastructure (S3, CloudFront, API Gateway)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control workflows
- Able to perform root cause analysis on issues within the application
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with AWS CDK or IaC for front-end infrastructure configuration
- Performance optimization techniques (code splitting, lazy loading, caching strategies)
- Accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA / 508 compliance)
- FedRAMP or other certification knowledge
