[Remote] Software Quality Analyst III

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) is seeking a Software Quality Analyst III to join their ITG division. This role involves collaborating with product and engineering teams to ensure software quality through manual testing, creating complex testing scenarios, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases for complex test scenarios, and promote and ensure appropriate test coverage
• Create, update, and manage test data for use in the various stages of software testing
• Improve, maintain, and adapt existing tests, and create new tests, as the product being tested evolves
• Investigate and resolve a wide range of issues using analytical thinking, creativity, and a strong understanding of QA best practices
• Devise effective testing strategies and solutions, even with limited information, drawing on previous experience and technical insight
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, clearly communicating findings, offering recommendations, and tailoring messaging to different audiences

Skills

• Typically has a Bachelor's degree with 5 - 7 years of position related progressive professional, individual contributor experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with test management platforms, e.g., Jira, Zephyr, or similar platforms
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is preferred
