[Remote] Sr. Engineer-Network Engineering
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CBTS is a technology solutions provider serving enterprise and midmarket clients across the United States and Canada. They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, support, and optimize complex enterprise network environments, ensuring reliability, security, and performance while driving continuous improvements.
Responsibilities
- Design, plan, script, and execute network changes following established change management processes
- Troubleshoot complex network incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement long-term solutions
- Manage network performance, availability, and reliability while driving proactive improvements
- Support network upgrades, migrations, software updates, patching, capacity planning, and resiliency initiatives
- Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewall policies, ACLs, zero-trust segmentation, and access governance
- Monitor network health and integrate observability tools to identify and prevent performance degradation
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, operational procedures, and runbooks
- Partner with Network Operations, Cloud Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Architecture, Service Delivery teams, and external vendors to resolve issues and support strategic initiatives
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5–7 years of professional experience in network engineering or infrastructure support
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Viptela SD-WAN
- Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet SD-WAN
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
- Strong hands-on experience with routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
- Strong hands-on experience with MPLS and Quality of Service (QoS)
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise LAN/WAN environments
- Strong hands-on experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Strong hands-on experience with network security and firewall management
- Experience supporting highly available, resilient enterprise networks
- Cisco certifications such as CCNP or CCIE
- Experience with Cisco Prime Infrastructure
- Experience with Cisco DNA Center
- Knowledge of network architecture, design principles, and governance standards
