[Remote] Storage Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Pacer Group is seeking a Storage Engineer to support Dell-based AI infrastructure in a high-performance data center environment. The role involves providing onsite support for Dell server infrastructure, troubleshooting GPU-related performance issues, and coordinating with Dell Support for hardware replacements.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite support for Dell server infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and support GPU-related performance and thermal issues (NVIDIA systems)
- Collect and extract logs from data center systems for engineering and vendor analysis
- Coordinate with Dell Support for hardware replacement and escalation
- Support hardware swaps and basic rack-level operational tasks when required
- Assist in reducing support backlog by improving onsite responsiveness
- Document processes, create runbooks, and maintain operational SOPs
- Work closely with AI infrastructure and engineering teams (Zoom / AI group environment)
- Support ongoing system health monitoring and incident resolution activities
Skills
- Hands-on experience with Dell Servers
- Strong understanding of Dell support processes, escalation, and RMA workflows
- Data center troubleshooting and hardware support experience
- Ability to collect and analyze system logs from production environments
- Familiarity with GPU-based infrastructure
- Understanding of server performance, thermal issues, and hardware degradation scenarios
- Experience working in onsite data center environments
- Ability to support incident response and operational troubleshooting
