[Remote] Technical Consultant

They are seeking a Technical Consultant to lead the design and implementation of software solutions, focusing on improving client operations and ensuring successful deployments.
Responsibilities
- Enhance client value by gathering requirements and designing solutions that streamline operations and improve efficiency
- Deliver high-quality software implementations, confirmed by rigorous testing and validation, aligning with strategic business goals
- Accelerate project timelines through proactive problem-solving and rapid adaptation to new technologies and processes
- Strengthen strategic client relationships and achieve process improvements by leveraging portfolio knowledge and crisp communication skills
- Travel globally to customer sites for the purpose of system integration, troubleshooting, and training
Skills
- 3+ years hands-on experience working with, configuring, and deploying Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Ability to read and work within XML files
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Stored Procedures
- Controls and automation programming
- Knowledge of PLC systems and be able to work with an OPC server
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office, including proper document structure, formatting, pivot tables and effective presentations
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Degree or equivalent certification or work experience in a technical discipline
- Travel expected: up to 50%
- Must be able to travel globally
- Experience with server setup, TCP/IP configuration, IIS, web services and implementation and knowledge of Local Area Networks
- Prior knowledge of working with PINpoint MES
- Knowledge of PLC programming would be an asset
