Technical Underwriting Assistant - Personal Lines
USG Insurance Services, Inc. is a distinguished national wholesale broker and managing general agent with a prominent presence across the nation. The Technical Underwriting Assistant will provide administrative and technical support to insurance professionals, contributing to the efficiency of production teams and ensuring timely and accurate customer service.
Responsibilities
- Correspondence with agents or carriers for additional information needed and handling renewal reminder letters
- Requesting company-issued endorsements
- Prepping files
- Binding in the Binding Portals and processing completely through our in-house system
- Consistently demonstrate a professional, positive, team-oriented attitude while performing job duties
- Invoicing and typing Brokerage Endorsements
- Provide the technical and administrative assistance required to support the attainment of stated office-wide objectives in conjunction with service standards
- Providing timely and accurate customer service
Skills
- At least 1 year of prior insurance experience, prior experience should include either wholesale brokerage/MGA, retail insurance agency, or insurance company experience
- Knowledge and experience of personal lines insurance, including: terminology and technical procedures
- Knowledge of Windows-based software applications and basic typing skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Knowledge of basic P&C insurance, forms, endorsements, rating methods, and terminology is preferred
