Confidential Company is a global alternative asset manager seeking a Valuations Analyst/Associate to join their growing team. The role involves valuing illiquid securities, monitoring portfolio performance, and collaborating with various internal and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Onboard newly originated investments alongside underwriting teams
- Perform monthly valuations of illiquid securities; present findings to the valuation committee
- Build and maintain financial models tracking issuer performance
- Analyze financial statements, transaction structures, and market data
- Contribute to quarterly portfolio review materials for portfolio managers
- Interface with internal teams and external parties (auditors, valuation providers)
Skills
- 1–3 years in financial consulting, investment banking, asset management, public accounting, third-party valuation, or credit rating
- Solid grounding in debt instruments and credit analysis
- Experience with debt/equity valuation and 3-statement modeling
- Strong Excel skills; Capital IQ or FactSet a plus
- Bachelor's in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
