• Research potential funding sources, including government agencies, foundations, and corporate donors, utilizing databases and online resources such as Raiser's Edge.
• Develop clear, persuasive grant proposals and technical reports that align with funder guidelines and organizational goals.
• Manage grant application timelines, ensuring all documents are completed accurately and submitted on schedule.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information for proposal development, including program descriptions, budgets, and impact metrics.
• Proofread and edit proposals for clarity, accuracy, and compliance with funder requirements.
• Maintain detailed records of grant applications, correspondence, and outcomes within organizational databases.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and program summaries to demonstrate project success and accountability to funders.

Qualifications

• Strong writing skills with experience in proposal writing, technical writing, or grant proposal development.
• Excellent research abilities to identify suitable funding opportunities and gather relevant data.
• Familiarity with databases such as Raiser's Edge or similar CRM systems used for fundraising management.
• Knowledge of contracts, contract management, budgeting, and financial report writing.
• Ability to analyze program needs and develop strategic plans aligned with organizational goals.
• Attention to detail for proofreading, editing, and ensuring compliance with application guidelines.
• Prior experience or interest in fundraising, program development or nonprofit work is a plus.
