Workers' Compensation Specialist (los Angeles)
Description Hiring: Workers Compensation Claims Examiner Location: Remote Duration: 12 Months Contract We are seeking an experienced Workers Compensation Claims Examiner with strong lost time claims experience to join our team remotely. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and process complex workers’ compensation claims
- Investigate claims and determine benefit eligibility and exposure
- Manage high-exposure claims involving litigation and rehabilitation
- Negotiate settlements within authority limits
- Calculate reserves, claim payments, and benefit adjustments
- Prepare and submit required state filings within statutory timelines
- Coordinate vendor referrals for investigations and litigation management
- Manage subrogation, recoveries, Medicare offsets, and related activities
- Maintain professional communication with claimants and clients
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance throughout claim lifecycle Required Qualifications: ✔ SIP certification is mandatory ✔ 3+ years of recent workers’ compensation claims experience ✔ Strong experience handling lost time claims ✔ Knowledge of litigation management and claim resolution processes ✔ Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Professional certifications related to claims management preferred
