[Remote] Media Finance Associate

National Media is a leading media buying company in Alexandria, VA, seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Media Finance Associate to join their finance team. This role involves processing accounts payable and receivable, performing media reconciliation, and improving workflows within the finance department.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform media reconciliation across campaigns and vendors
- Track budgets and ensure accuracy across multiple data sources
- Work heavily in Excel to organize, analyze, and validate financial data
- Assist with reporting and month-end processes
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, systems, and data accuracy
Skills
- 1–3+ years of accounting or finance experience (internships or part-time experience considered)
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field (or currently pursuing one)
- Strong Excel skills (comfortable working with large datasets, using lookups and conditional formulas, and building pivot tables)
- Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems
- Someone who asks questions, takes initiative, and looks for better ways to do things
- Experience with accounting software (any platform)
- Exposure to media, advertising, or agency environments
- Interest in process improvement or automation
