[Remote] Operations Management Consultant

TARGUS Group North America is a U.S. subsidiary of the leading European consulting firm TARGUS AG, focused on operations improvement across North America. They are seeking an Operations Management Consultant to conduct data-based analyses, implement operational improvements, and lead teams in various industries while supporting entrepreneurial growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct data-based analyses to develop operational improvements across various industries
- Lead teams to implement action plans and achieve sustainable results
- Focus on key areas of improvement, including lean manufacturing, supply chain optimization, and cost reduction
- Identify new business opportunities with clients
- Contribute to the development of internal tools, methods, and processes
- Coach and mentor junior colleagues
- Support entrepreneurial growth initiatives within the company
Skills
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain management, continuous improvement, or similar fields
- Advanced degree in engineering, science, or a related field; or an undergraduate degree plus an MBA
- Project management experience and proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Strong background in lean manufacturing, supply chain management, and cost optimization, with experience in post-merger integration and plant expansions
- Knowledge/Implementation of business intelligence infrastructure and collection and analysis of data sets with Microsoft BI, Minitab, R, Tableau or similar software
- Expertise in operations and leading complex work streams in complicated organizations
- The ability to work independently and lead teams effectively
- Willingness to travel 90-100% of the time
