[Remote] Systems Administrator

The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and networks, ensuring smooth functioning to support organizational operations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and software applications
- Manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, ensuring optimal performance and security
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform necessary maintenance and upgrades to ensure system reliability and availability
- Conduct regular backups and implement data recovery plans to safeguard against data loss or system failures
- Collaborate with the IT team to design and implement security measures to protect systems from cyber threats and unauthorized access
- Provide technical support and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network systems for end-users
- Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, solutions, and tools to improve system efficiency and performance
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels across various systems and applications
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications a plus
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in system administration roles, preferably in a complex IT environment
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix) and server technologies
- Experience with network protocols, security, and troubleshooting methodologies
- Strong knowledge of virtualization, cloud computing, and storage systems
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
